The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of strategic deterrence through continual improvement and innovation.
The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Manage and implement client’s cloud infrastructure within AWS and other hosting services. This is a highly technical role providing excellent career development opportunities for the successful candidate. The Cloud Architect will work as a member of a highly technical Enterprise Cloud Department in the design, implementation, and operation of the enterprise-wide systems infrastructure
• Assist in training for all departments for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training
• Assist in performing root cause analysis and resolve faults and errors in applications
• Assist in developing recommendations for enhancing approaches for software support services
• Assist in developing security baselines and standards for AWS and on-premises resources, hardening and strengthening security to exceed the latest best practices
• Ensure adherence to IT infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures
• Update work instruction documents and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with vendors in the research, development, and implementation of various technologies

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience; Master's Degree and 8+ years of experience; (in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 4 additional years of relevant experience)
• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
• Experience in System Administration, including System Design, Configuration, Maintenance, and Upgrades
• Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
• Use of scripting to automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python or AWS Console
• Migrating and supporting large and complex systems in an enterprise environment in the cloud
• Managing cloud infrastructure in a production environment to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Automating system deployment, operation, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform and DevOps practices.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements on hire date or must obtain such within 6 months of being hired

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
• AWS Cloud Certification is a preferred
• Architecting, designing, and developing applications on the AWS platform
• Experience with operating systems - Windows Server 2016, 2019, & RedHat Linux
• Ability to conduct training for all departments for overlap support and any cross-department end-user training
• Hands-on experience with AWS supporting large-scale deployments as an administrator
• Experience with migrating and/or extending on-premises software to the Cloud
• Architecting, designing, and developing applications on the AWS platform
• Experience with AWS Cloud Platform (IaaS)
• Experience implementing AWS Infrastructure Solutions
• Experience implementing Hybrid and Pure Cloud solutions using AWS
• Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability
