The 1st shift (5:45am - 4:15pm) Clicker Operator position, starting pay is $15.00/ hour, is responsible for operating and maintaining the single and/or double head clickers, skivers and heat stamping machines.

This position cuts all types and grades of leather, tanera, Goodyear and Morrison nylon, sponge and vinyl. • Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Company and OSHA safety rules and regulations, understanding machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards, and wearing required PPE. • Operate clicker for cutting materials using various size and clicking dies and forms; make set-ups and adjustments for machines, and may be required to skive leather to proper thickness. • Inspect product for quality and inform supervisor or lead of any production or quality problems.

  • Report acccurate count of production parts, scrap, and labor hours by completing required paperwork and/or electronic entry. • Keep work area in clean and orderly condition, complying with established 6S standards. • Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas as required. • Participate in various lean manufacturing activities to improve products, reduce waste, and learn new skills or operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment and experince using hand tools is required. • Demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Demonstrate the capacity to shift priorities.
Ability to work closely and effectively with all employees and management staff. Physical Demand Requirements ​Required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
