We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in Americas at Plantation, Florida.
Job Purpose:
DHL is offering one exceptional candidate the chance to help achieve the IRM vision of being the highest performance shared service provision within DHL, while contributing added value to the group. This role is responsible for applying professional claims knowledge, administration, processing claims, analytical skills, and reporting services for the DHL divisions in alignment with IRM Shared Service. This position is in our Plantation, FL office. Additional experience and qualifications include:

Your Tasks:
  • Establish and maintain effective business partner relationships with DHL division Business Partners (BPs), external customers, accounting, legal departments and other key stakeholders. Communicates with key stakeholders within IRM, including contract risk, legal, customer service, insurers, underwriters and loss adjusters within agreed authority.
  • Provide clarification on claims dispositions, claim guidance and allocations.
  • Coordinate BP’s interaction, reports and claims calls with the goal of limited financial exposures on claims.
  • Provide best in class claims training and education to internal and external customers.
  • Plan, recommend and implement process improvement initiatives in alignment with key stakeholders and according to IRM guidelines.
  • Provide guidance to the multiple BP’s as the trusted advisor.
  • Investigates claims to determine the exposure to the business and negotiates/advises advanced claim settlements.
  • Has the authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement polices pertaining to strategic claim resolution. Ensure accurate financial forecasting for the life of a claim.
  • Makes financial decisions based upon structured guidelines, policies and procedures with binding authority. Roundtables claims with Third Party Administrator (TPA) and legal. Monitors the TPA and makes financial judgment decisions for claims.
  • Read, interpret and provide guidance with customer contracts in regards to claim language, acting as the subject matter expert for our BPs. Ensures that required documentation (investigation, resolution strategy and resolution) is correct and attached to the system.
  • Produces and analyzes claim trending reporting, which will then be shared with management and used as consultative or expert advice on projects or to develop long term or short term business strategies. These reports are used to help determine department structures, along with staffing needs and requirements.
  • Leverages extensive understanding of multiple BP’s claims handling functions and multiple claim exposure situations.
  • Triage critical claims and ensure the proper involvement by all claim professionals and Business Partners to achieve the best outcome for our employees/customers.

Job Profile:
  • Bachelor Degree (Preferred) or equivalent claims experience
  • 5+ years of claims handling (Preferred)
  • Professional Certificate (AIC or ARM preferred)
  • Experience in Logistics (Preferred)
  • Experience working with a Risk Management Information System (Preferred)
  • Experience in analyzing, negotiating and strategizing claims (Required)
  • Knowledge of insurance programs with insurance deductibles
  • Excellent analytical, Microsoft Office, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of life of claim handling processes
  • Knowledge on how to apply process improvements
  • Actively seeks growth and development opportunities
  • Understands claim contract language and insurance policy language
