Salary: $77,599 per year, plus full-time benefits and excellent retirement options, including enrollment in Minnesota's largest Pension (PERA)!
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8.0 hrs/day
Responsible To: Transportation Coordinator
Position Purpose: This position is responsible for supervising the repair and maintenance of all district vehicles and equipment, ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition and supervise mechanics. Eastern Carver County Schools Transportation Center maintains a large fleet of vehicles with a variety of engine models. The Chief Mechanic leads a team of 4 mechanics and participates in repairs as well as performs scheduling, parts management, data entry and other responsibilities. Computer and technology skills are important. People skills a must. Will be part of the department leadership team.
Required Qualifications: Two year’s technical college graduate in the repair and maintenance of commercial, diesel or bus fleet vehicles or related field.Diesel or bus fleet experience
