Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Support testing batteries and component parts with ICP analysis; prepare various types of samples using digestion and dilution techniques and analyze prepared samples by ICP measurements
• Accurately record test results and provide analysis reports to support project efforts
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and calibration of analytical equipment and general laboratory maintenance and upkeep
• Support analytical method development and SOP documentation
• If needed, support other analytical techniques after training and certification (e.g. chromatography, spectroscopy, microscopy etc.)
• Adhere to Laboratory Health & Safety requirements

Key Qualifications:

• Educational background with minimum AA degree
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in ICP analysis with ability to execute complex and detailed test procedures with minimal input, interpret data and support new method development
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
• Good understanding of digestion, dilution and ICP instrumentation; excellent troubleshooting skills with great attention to details
• Ability to work independently, and in a team, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experienced in handling strong acids including HF and able to wear appropriate PPE provided for job
• Good organizational and laboratory skills and familiarity with proper laboratory safety and housekeeping practices

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
