  • JOB SUMMARY
      This is a unique and exciting position for a CMA/RMA to provide patient care in the community setting from Rush Memorial Hospital’s new Mobile Clinic.
      • The CMA/RMA is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to patients in an ambulatory setting within the mobile clinic. This position also provides clerical support for office functions on an as needed basis.
      • The CMA/RMA will need to be willing to be trained on driving the Mobile Clinic but a CDL is not required.
      • The CMA/RMA can also have a variety of assignments from our outpatient offices, Healthcare Associates, Pediatrics, Walk-In Care, RMH Specialists and Medical Specialty Services to our Admissions/Call Center as needed.
      • This is a dynamic position that will allow the CMA/RMA to provide patient care in many different ways and by utilizing many personal and professional skills.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      Knowledge & Experience
        Skills-
        • Demonstrates ability to give and follow instructions accurately
        • Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients and various levels of health care personnel
        • Time management and multiple task assignment management skills required
        • Demonstrates ability to read, write, use medical terminology and perform simple calculations
        • Willingness to train to drive the Mobile Clinic
        Knowledge-
        • Basic fundamental CMA/RMA practices
        Education-
        • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
        • Completion of a CMA/RMA course of study is required
        Experience-
        • Minimum of two years of previous clinical experience preferred
        • CMA/RMA is preferred

      Authority and Accountability
      • Extensive exposure to confidential information or matters
      • Frequent contact with various persons or groups within and outside of the physician office and hospital including employees, department managers, physicians, patients, volunteers, visitors and outside agency personnel
      • Must be able to work with and communicate with different types of people

      Aptitudes
      • Must be able to prioritize, utilize critical thinking, and adjust to change
      • Must be able to reason and use logical problem-solving skills
      • Performs duties that require some latitude for independent judgment and initiative in handling situations out of the ordinary
