Earn up to $50K/year + $1,500 Sign-on Bonus

The Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center (LMACCC), located in the Longwood area of Boston, is looking for a full-time Center Float Teacher to work 8 hour shifts from Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:00 pm. The Float Teacher will work in Infant, Toddler & Preschool classrooms, teaching children from 6 months up to 5 years of age.

Essential Functions

• Provide a safe and quality environment that appropriately meets the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of young children.
• Assist the LMACCC Administration, when appropriate, in the supervision and the general maintenance of all aspects of the classroom program.
• Be involved with planning and implementing daily activities and curriculum to help promote positive social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
• Foster positive relationships, interactions and communication between staff and parents, parents and children, and children and their peers.
• Serve as a cooperative and supportive member of a team, both in the classrooms and in the Center.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

• High School Diploma/GED Required, Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Infant/Toddler and Preschool EEC Teacher Certifications
• Strong communication and team player skills
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds
