Summary: Take orders for food and beverages from customers and prepare according to the order using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures.


Primary duties:


  • Greet every guest with an enthusiastic welcome as they enter the cafĂ©
  • Take orders from customers at counter.
  • Prepare order and check that it is accurate before serving to a customer.
  • Operate the equipment required for preparing food and ensure that is working properly.
  • Maintain food safety and standards in food preparation and personal hygiene.
  • Enter customer orders and compute bill using cash registers.
  • Accept payment from customers, and make change as necessary.
  • Keep items needed at drink-dispensing and condiment area filled.
  • Clean and organize dining and kitchen areas.
  • Notify management of food or beverage shortages.
  • Follow all Company policy and procedures.
  • Regular and timely attendance.

    Secondary Duties:
  • Assist other staff.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

    Physical Demands:
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 25lbs (+-20%) of the time
  • Frequent standing/walking/climbing (+-95%)of the time
  • Frequent reaching/handling/feeling (+-75%) of the time
  • Frequent use of finger dexterity (+75%) of the time.

    Education:

    High School Education or GED preferred.

    Experience:

    Prior restaurant or customer service experience preferred. Must be professional, polite, and reliable.


2 p,m. to 10 p.m. Monday - Friday with some Saturday work
