Cashier/Counter

Cashiers are responsible for greeting the customer, learning the menu, answering the phones, taking orders, register functions, charging and receiving money, checks, credit cards, and ensuring the customer receives the correct order.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Cashier must smile and be able to make the guests smile.
• Always come to work with a clean
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized
• Be a team player-support and assist your fellow team members whenever
• Maintains sanitary
• Responsible for counting cash drawer at beginning and end of shift
• Greeting guests, taking food and beverage and desserts orders, and in some cases expediting food
• Ringing guest orders into the cash register or POS system
• Responsible for properly charging the guest and collecting payment for orders.
• Responsible for processing credit and debit card
• Answering phone and taking phone
• Interacts with customers in a friendly and efficient
• Stocks display with flyers, refrigerators, salad bar, and ice down beer, fill ice dispenser, fill chips, cups, lids neatly, accurately and efficiently.
• Maintains appropriate portion-control on cutting pies, making (2oz) portion

Qualifications & Requirements

• Warm and Friendly: A good cashier/counter person must possess a personality that will make our guests feel at home and want to come back
• Accuracy: A good cashier/counter person must listen well to the guest's order and special requests. By accurately taking the order the first time will ensure the guest receives what they expect and limit the possibility of wasted product when something is returned m
• Focused and Efficient: A good cashier/counter person stays focused on taking orders and providing quick service.
• Attention to Cleanliness and Sanitation: A good cashier/counter person must be aware of our cleaning and sanitation standards and must maintain them
• Team Player: A good cashier/counter person is always aware of what's going on behind the counter and kitchen and is ready and willing to help others get the job
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to visually discern safety, cleanliness, and food quality.
• Must follow all laws & rules for the safe service of alcohol.
• Must be able to walk, bend, reach, twist, and stoop on occasion. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling with both hands.
