Essential Functions:
  • Provides companionship such as reading, talking, listening and related psychosocial activities.
  • Performs errands for patients within State guidelines.
  • Reports any unusual incidents or changes in the client's behavior or home situation to Agency Director.
  • Abides by State and Agency Policy and Regulations.
  • Performs homemaking services, such as cleaning, light meal preparation and laundry
  • Documents and signs each visit note daily and obtains client signature on each visit note.
  • Adheres to client visit schedules and written service plan.
  • Informs Agency Director and/or Staffing Coordinator of availability.
  • Accepts only assignments for which the sitter is qualified for.
  • Practices safe and competently within the job description.
  • Communicates with Agency Director and/or Accounts Manager about problems and other concerns.
  • Participates in staff meetings and in-service programs as assigned and complies with state regulatory acts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Formal Education: No
Experience: 6 months
License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement: Current drivers license, vehicle insurance and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
Education Requirements: Ability to read and write.
Experience Requirements: Six months of experience in a similar job of attending to someone needing this type of care.
