MRV Banks is calling all banking professionals who are interested in a full-time Card Services Relationship Specialist position in the Cape Girardeau, MO area to apply to join our amazing team! This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of relationships in the Card Services Department. The position works onsite Monday - Friday during typical banking hours of 8am-5pm. There may be occasional after-hours events for clients and moderate travel by land and/or air for clients. This position is available due the awesome growth of our Card Services Department.

THE DAY-TO-DAY
You work 37.5-40 hours/week during normal business hours, as a Card Services Relationship Specialist, you actively participate in our excellent training program so that you can be successful in this role. You will start by learning basic banking compliance knowledge and the Card Services rules and regulations. Essential functions of the role include assigned relationship items, customer communications/relationship, effective time management, professional internal and external communications. Learning is ongoing as rules and regulations continuously change as does our products and services to our partners. You work as a liaison between card relationships and our card services department to make sure we are doing the best work for our card service customers and their needs. Each day you can be found talking on the phone, call agenda, call notes, operational requests from relationships, preparing approvals for management and compliance reviews, collecting financial and monthly reports. Throughout your day, you rely on checklists to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

The responsibility of this position is managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detailed, specialized work is the major focus. The person in this position will require clearly defined work, responsibilities, and reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence, and frequently expressed appreciation of the person's competence, conscientiousness, and loyalty. The position will provide security in a stable work environment, allowing the person to plan for, focus on and complete tasks on hand. When changes in the nature of the work occur, the person in this position will need direction, training and support. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or high school diploma or equivalent;
  • One year banking/finance sales and customer service;
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to use effective communication skills, understand procedures, and speak clearly to customers, employees and supervisors; and,
  • Above average computer skills.
  • Ability to travel moderately by land and/or air.
Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two or more years of banking experience
  • Deposit operations bank experience.
  • Excellent understanding of Card Services
