The role you’ll contribute:

Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, completes any dept. task as assigned including preparing and delivering patient food trays, washing dishes, organizing stock, disposing of garbage, or operating the cash register in the cafeteria.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Is able to use safely all necessary food service equipment. Is aware of hospital policies
  • Works on the tray line as necessary.
  • Participates in departmental performance improvement activities.
  • Maintains a good working relationship both within the department with other departments.
  • Trains other Nutritional Services workers in department procedures.
  • Observes infection control practices at all times.
  • Understands importance of portion control and following all sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Meets and maintains established productivity expectations.
  • Listens to all patients, guests’ concerns. Makes reasonable attempt to satisfy or solve problems.
  • Uses correct amount of chemicals to wash floors, dishes and cleaning aluminum racks.
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • General knowledge of modified diets and ability to read and follow a diet spreadsheet is required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
