CAD Designer / Fire Alarm & Security Designer

We are currently searching for an experienced Cad Operator / Fire Alarm & Security Designer that meets the following listed requirements and willingness to perform the listed job responsibilities:

Note: If you are good, fast, and efficient with AutoCAD we are willing to train the right person to learn Designing Fire Alarm Systems and more.

Requirements: (*required) (**preferred not required)

• * Knowledge/Expertise in AutoCAD;
• ** Familiar with Fire Life Safety Codes, (CBC, CFC, NEC, NFPA 72/13)
• * Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel;
• * Capable of handling projects from start to finish;
• * Able to communicate with others inside and outside the company.
• * Willingness to work as a team.
• * Good with time management and meeting deadlines.
• * Must have own reliable transportation.
• * Ability to follow instructions.
• * The ability to take the initiative to get a project completed.
• * Strong organizational skills, multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined;
• * Punctual and Responsible.
• **NICET Certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare drawings and submittal documents accurately and in a timely manner;
• Layout plans utilizing AutoCAD program that meets code;
• Organize engineering job folders for easy and fast access.
• Print, run copies, and distribute drawings/close-out documents to different departments/clients as necessary;
• Scan approved, redlines, and as-built drawings for engineering records;
• Organize engineering job folders.
• Submit/Deliver/Pick-up plans to/from the city, job site, or client’s office, as necessary
• Process incoming and outgoing submittal packages as necessary;
• Coordinate plan status with the plan reviewers.
• And all other duties as required or needed.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
