Summary:
Under direction of the Modular Shift Manager, The Cabinet II Builder is responsible for building and installing cabinets. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company and the capability of working in a team environment are necessary for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Meets all qualifications/requirements for Cabinet Builder 1 and can demonstrate proficiency of Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities of that role
Able to build cabinets in the cabinet shop without the guidance of other cabinet builders
Able to install cabinets in the field without the guidance of other cabinet builders
Ensures the schedule for builds and installs is met on time
Trains Cabinet Builder I through the process of building cabinets in the cabinet shop
Trains Cabinet Builder I through the process of installing cabinets in the field
Manages quality control and verifies all products produced meet or exceed company standards
Enforces company safety policies including associates use of personal protective equipment
Demonstrates a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement; identifies and responds actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers; participates as a team player in all phases of the organization; and is open and responsive to change
Complies with all company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned within the reasonable scope of role responsibilities
Is present workstation wearing personal protection equipment and ready to work at starting time
Maintains a tidy work area
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Proficient with the use of building tools and materials for cabinet construction and install
Strong knowledge of shop print reading for cabinet construction and install
Knowledge of common building materials used in the cabinet shop and field
Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work
Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong team work ethic
Communicates effectively with team members
