Position Information:

  • Title: Behavior Technician
  • Job Type: Part Time (20 Hours per week)
  • Salary: $16. - $19.00 per hour

Behavior Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other related disorders
  • Deliver 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
  • Under the supervision of a BCBA, implement client specific treatment plans using evidence-based principles of ABA to teach clients new skills, decrease challenging behaviors and improve client every day interactions
  • Work closely with BCBAs
  • Travel to specific locations to deliver therapy services (such as client homes, preschools, and schools)
  • Collect, record and analyze client data
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with team members

Behavior Technician Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
  • Pass a thorough criminal and caregiver background check
  • Preferred:

o 1,000 hours of ABA experience or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification

o Bachelor's Degree in psychology, education, special education, child care, behavioral health, health science, or a related field

  • Demonstrate ability to work with children in their natural environments and maintain a variety of postures, such as kneeling, sitting, standing, and lifting for extended periods of time
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to be energetic, fun, and creative in play
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn new concepts and accept and apply feedback in order to improve client skills
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Demonstrate strong professionalism skills (on a daily basis with team members, client parents/caregivers, teachers, and school administrators)
