Behavioral Health Kansas City is located in the Greater Kansas City, MO area. BHHKC incorporates the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) into the services we provide. We provide services to individuals with a variety of disabilities varying from 18 months through adulthood. BHHKC is a comprehensive behavior analytic service provider committed to the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports. Our services address the needs of families, schools and agencies by conducting assessments, developing and providing intervention and providing training.
OUR MISSION: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WILL CREATE MEANINGFUL CHANGES IN THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH THE USE OF EVIDENCE BASED PRACTICES AND DEDICATED SERVICE PROVIDERS.
BHHKC is looking for energetic, passionate, and motivated BCBAs to provide care and support to our clients and their families. We work with the client and family in diverse settings - homes, school districts, residential homes, mental health facilities - and in partnership with many service providers and members of our client’s advocate team.

We offer relocation, credentialing, and licensing reimbursement for qualified candidates with a 1-year commitment agreement.
Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst will have expertise in:
Clinical Management

  • Coordinates regularly with the Clinical Director(s) to ensure consistency in clinic-wide procedures, programming and teaching principles.
  • Designs, implements and manages evidence-based ABA services (intervention, assessment, parent & staff training, etc.) for a minimum of 6-8 clients (approximately 36 billable hours per week) maintaining 90% efficiency.
  • May supervise RBTs and Direct Support Care Staff by providing direct observation and feedback of implementation of ABA specific teaching strategies relative to each clients treatment goals.
  • Ensures staff have the tools, resources and information necessary for performing their respective duties.
  • Provides supervision to Direct Care Staff, RBTs, BCaBAs and individuals working towards their BCBA.
  • Provides and schedules parent training on a consistent basis.
  • Conducts client assessments, and prepares treatment plans summarizing results and recommendations for intervention in a timely manner.
  • Conducts behavioral assessments, develops, monitors and maintains behavior intervention plans.
  • Develops treatment goals, plan and program requirements and updates programs and treatment plan regularly.
  • Oversees the implementation and maintenance of data collection systems to track, monitor and measure program effectiveness including accurate program data, graphs and maintenance systems.
  • Attends meetings and trainings as required through MBTS, Milestones Academy, Crisis Management, Residential and KCBH.
  • Maintains advanced working knowledge of ABA practices and standards.
  • Lead morning “huddle” meetings as needed in coordination with the Clinical Director.
  • Serves as the clinical “point person” for parent, staff, child or client related questions in the absence of the Clinical Director.

  • Manage and develop a team of employees in accordance with KCBHH’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and recommending candidates; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recommending rewards and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and building an effective team dynamic.
  • Actively participate in the national healthcare community; stay abreast of trends, competitors and legislation.
  • Serve as a credible and collaborative leader with both internal and external constituencies by understanding the healthcare landscape and responding quickly to needs.

Requirements: Minimum Qualifications (Education, experience, training and specific skills to fulfill the primary responsibilities and duties of the job):

  • Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology or related field
  • BCBA certification and MO and KS State License, willing to assist with reimbursement of licensing fees.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with autism (experience running Intensive Teaching programs with a Verbal Behavior focus preferred)
  • Experience in Group Homes and or Crisis Prevention and Intervention also preferred

Pay: $58,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
