Our GPS Technology Organization is a structure within the US GPS practice that implements and maintains a new operate and technology model designed specifically to support U.S. Defense and Government engagements.
The opportunity
This is a remote opportunity that can be performed within Continental United States.
As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will engage with multi-functional teams to create impactful products and services using ground-breaking technology and tools. Your key responsibilities
Lead the test activities to ensure product quality, setting project timelines.- Design, develop, and support test cases for functional and non-functional domains and resolve issues that may impede the test effort.
- Testing and evaluation of cloud solutions that use cloud platforms, and infrastructure as code frameworks.
- Design and perform complex testing in technical areas such as databases, cloud storage, cloud network objects etc.
- Drive the identification of the test scope and test environment set-up, prepare test plans, identify relevant metrics, and keep track of required effort.
- Manage the execution of tests, review reports and interpret recommendations for product or design changes.
- Develop relationships with other engineering groups to evaluate, recommend and implement testing procedures for products, systems, components, or modifications.
Skills and attributes for success
Strong experience in testing Azure services/infrastructure- Broad understanding of testing lifecycle and agile frameworks.
- Specialized knowledge of Quality Management techniques.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Engineering, IT, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience- Understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure
- Hands on experience with infrastructure as a code framework including Azure Resource Manager templates.
- Hands on experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
- Experience with Agile development framework such as Kanban, SAFe is a must.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self –starter, with the flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and integrate with cultural differences and engage with virtual cross-cultural, cross-border teams.
- Experience in supporting small to medium size projects and the relevant Performance indicators and metrics.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Security Clearance level.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Good understanding on Automation Testing concepts. Ability to implement automation/performance strategy, and guide automation/performance testing team.- Experience in test and measure application, network, and storage performance for potential bottlenecks and identify possible resolution.
- Hands-on experience authoring, and building, automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across user interfaces, application programming interfaces and back-end integration (including end-to-end automation wherever possible) and experience and/or knowledgeable with different test automation approaches (including Test Drive Development, Behavior Driven Development, and hybrid)
- Experience in PowerShell scripting and testing PowerShell based solutions.
- Multi-year experience with Ansible and Linux on Azure
- Experience and knowledge of Azure DevOps or any relevant defect management tool and CI/CD.
- Experience in Selenium with Java / Python - Knowledge at scripting/coding level
- Lean certification or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
