Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Development Engineer for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for an internship of 6 months located in Milan, Italy.
Reporting to Test & Process Engineering manager in the Test Development Engineer role you will be exposed to an international environment, learning how to collaborate with teams distributed worldwide on a common goal. You will experience a cross-functional R&D context, with a deep focus on proof-of-concept evaluations, leading analysis of emerging technologies in the field of Medical applications.
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
- Perform activities related to system design and integration of electronic automated Test equipment (ATE).
- Participate with other team members in activities like board layout, mechanical design and SW integration of automated test benches to be used in our manufacturing sites.
- Use of the State of Art SW test design tools like LabView and TestStand from National Instruments (NI)
- Operate computer assisted engineering and design software (OrCAD) and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Provide technical support, instructions and help solve problems to manufacturing staff during all the design phases, the pre-production and post-production phases.
- Participate to prepare and maintain required documentation according to Medical standards.
THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING TO ADD TO THE TEAM:
- Ideally a recent graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/ Automation/Physic Engineering or related fields
- Someone with a good mix of mechanical, hardware and software skills to support the design and development of automated test bench equipement
- Experience with OrCAD, TestStand, Labview and similar solutions would be an advantage
- Professional English is required in this role to successfully collaborate with the international teams
