Our office in Spokane, Washington, is seeking a front-line customer service representative. This position involves telephone contact to assist and service policy holders with their insurance needs.

Salary

A starting annual salary between $41,053 - $68,412 based on your level of experience and/or applicable licenses within the property and casualty industry. The 37.5 hour work schedule will be 5 days per week, working both weekend days, but having Thursday and Friday off each week. In addition, hired applicants will be eligible for the company’s annual variable incentive paid based on company performance. Additional commission opportunities may apply to customer facing sales and service representatives.

Now offering a $2,500 Signing Bonus for new candidates! To qualify for the Signing Bonus, applicants must have started their position on or after 6/1/2021 or have accepted a position no later than 2/28/2023. The Signing Bonus will be structured in two, gross, equal lump sum payments. The first $1,250 bonus payment will be issued on the last pay date of the month following the employee’s successful completion of the orientation period (generally the 1st of the month following three complete months of employment). The second $1,250 bonus payment will be issued on the last pay date of the month following the employee’s six-month anniversary from the date of hire. Signing Bonus payments are subject to Federal, State, and Local taxes where applicable. Amica reserves the right to withhold Signing Bonus payments due to potential job performance and/or dependability concerns.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct professional countrywide telephone conversations in a high call volume environment
  • Assist customers with various billing and policy change transactions over the phone
  • Gain customer trust and respect by establishing and maintaining effective relationships
  • Problem-solve and use time effectively to multitask and prioritize work

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous insurance background is a plus, but not required
  • After hire, employees will be required to obtain a state insurance license and meet continuing education requirements to maintain their license (comprehensive training will be provided)
