We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Buyer in our Mountaintop, PA manufacturing location.
Summary
The Associate Buyer provides Supply Chain Management of commodities to support Company requirements by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as team members within the materials organization, implementing pricing strategies, making and being accountable for sound business decisions, and maintaining positive work relationships.
Responsibilities & Principal Duties

  • Process all assigned daily requisitions through purchase order input, acknowledgement, receipt and invoice approval, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support supplier relationships that will protect Company’s operational capability by ensuring consistent material availability in any market condition.
  • Resolve invoicing exceptions with suppliers and Accounts Payable department.
  • Perform all follow up activities related to open purchase orders including acknowledgement review, open order reporting and resolution of past due issues.
  • Maintain all related part number data in the ERP system as directed.
  • Assist all departments in efficient communication with internal and external customers; maintain positive customer, vendor, and coworker relationships
  • Cross training throughout the Materials department by assisting in all areas to achieve Company goals.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Purchasing Manager

Job Requirements:
Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of procurement function, e-mail, MS Office applications, communication skills, telephone skills, and analytical skills.
  • Must work effectively with other areas of the organization.
  • Proficient in the use of tools available in an ERP system.
