The ideal candidate will have a key role ensuring that all standards and procedures are followed in the daily Front Office operations, working closely with the head of the departs. You will also be expected to organise special requests and communicate with all departments within the hotel to ensure that our guests receive the highest standard of service.

Reports to: Reception Manager

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Supervises operations of the Front Office team, according to Company policies and procedures and compliance with our Code of Conduct
  • Handle guest complaints and anticipate guests needs
  • Manage room allocation, review room availability status and special requests on a daily basis working closely with Central Reservation Office, Front Office Manager and General Manager and all other departments
  • Staff coaching, performance appraisal, work organisation and development of all Front Office staff
  • Continuous update of activities and attractions available in the area
  • Ensure that Guest database is updated as per our policy
  • Consistently meet or exceed defined performance expectations as per management’ goals (revenue, third party vendors management and guest satisfaction etc.)
  • Support the Reception Manager in accomplishing administrative duties such as A/R accounts management, commission check, e-invoicing checks etc.
  • Prepare the monthly rota for the Front Office department
  • Support the team in the development, implementation and review of the policies, procedures, practices and standards

Requirements:

  • Professional experience, preferably at international level in the same role
  • Demonstrate a passion for attention to detail and excellence
  • Manage time effectively in order to meet LQA standards requirements
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Possess a courteous and professional telephone manner
  • Preferred knowledge of LQA and Forbes standards
  • Preferred knowledge of PMS Infor HMS and Alice Concierge systems but not required
