ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

• Oversee day to day operations and assignments of the hotel staff as efficiently as possible

• Communicate and enforce policies and procedures

• Hands-on leadership position. You will be instrumental in maintaining a high energy positive environment

• This is a mid-shift position that allows you to be at the hotel when the General Manager is not. Must be available any day of the week and holidays

• Oversee the restaurant and bar operations

• Implement appropriate service recovery guidelines in order to ensure guest satisfaction

• Review guest feedback and respond appropriately

• Communicate to appropriate departments all pertinent requirements for all guest and groups

• Ensure the hotel is a safe environment for guest and associates

• Develop the team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, recognize good performance, promote teamwork

• HR duties including payroll, interviewing, hiring, training and scheduling

• Stay abreast of brand standards and industry trends

• Knowledgeable of area and events

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Experience Requirements

• 3 years guest service/hotel-related experience required, managerial experience of at least 2 years preferably IHG or like branded hotel with food and beverage including bar outlets

• Knowledgeable in using computer operating systems and Excel

• Must be organized and able to complete multiple task at one time with accuracy and attention to details

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Must speak fluent English - other languages a plus

Pay: $36,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
