Role & Key Responsibilities

The new US Area Sales Managerwill work jointly with our North American sales team. This steward will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities throughout the United States (and potentially internationally), championing sales with existing and new accounts. Responsibilities and initiatives include:

  • Build outstanding and long-term relationships with existing customer base, by becoming their trusted partner
  • Research and prospect for potential customers; develop new accounts from leads and prospecting efforts
  • Coordinate and/or search new agents and support them with standard or customized proposals
  • Promote and sell packaging machines and solutions across the various strategic vertical markets and help establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base
  • Visit prospects in the assigned territory and drive increase of existing client base sales
  • Perform effective presentations and prospecting by using available sales and marketing resources
  • Understand customers’ needs and business requirements to transform them into relevant commercial proposals and technical solutions
  • Further to a machine sale, ensure all relevant information is provided to start with a clean order, including supporting project management by providing customer specifications and/or samples
  • Representation at trade fairs and other commercial events (e.g., Pack Expo)

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (mechanical, electrical) or any other relevant degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales role within manufacturers of packaging machines or professional experience selling capital equipment (in sectors such as FMCG, automation and industrial machinery). Prior experience with flexible packaging equipment and/or exposure to the pharmaceutical packaging industry will be a strong plus

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude to understand packaging automation and complex machinery solutions
  • Confident in MS-Office and managing customers using CRM systems
  • Motivated self-starter adapted to work in structured B2B industrial sectors
  • Flexibility and proactive mindset
  • Results oriented, with track record of goal achievement
  • Team player, supportive and ready for new challenges
  • Ability to manage conflicts and work under stress situations
  • Problem solving
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills, both orally and written
  • Fluent English: Spanish is beneficial, but not required
  • Strong negotiation skills

Requirements

  • Ready to travel domestically up to 60% of working time –some international travel to HQ could also be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
