Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) is seeking an Application Developer I that loves technology and demonstrates a strong passion for application development.This person will join a team that has a very strong core group of developers with the opportunity to have great mentoring support. Additional training will be provided, and we are seeking someone with a very high technical aptitude to learn.

- Leads minimally complex projects that require a singular area of programming expertise. Responsible for application analysis, development, integration, enhancement, maintenance and support.
- Identifies system requirements, develops application specifications; and implements integration plans by interfacing with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process.
- Converts information from design specifications to programming code. Writes specific programs by analyzing workflow charts and diagrams and applying knowledge to satisfy requirements.
- Analyzes existing information systems and applications to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements.
- Assesses customer needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to implement process improvements within an assigned customer area.
- Participates in short-term planning sessions with a customer to implement process improvements within an assigned customer area.
- Adheres to quality standards and procedures. Reviews modules for quality assurance checks compliance with application architecture standards and conducts unit testing of application modules to ensure applications meet specifications.
WE VALUE
No experience required Bachelors degree, certification, or 2 years of exp in lieu of a Bachelors or certification Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" level clearance.
- Working knowledge of:
o TOMCAT or TCL (Tool Control Language)
o Web Services, Subversion or SQL
o IDE (such as Eclipse) or UNIX shell scripting or PERL
