Assists in the preparation and service of meals and nourishments. Performs daily task in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, the facility’s established policies, procedures and as directed by the Dietary Supervisory Staff. Maintains high standards in quality of food products, food service, food delivery, safety, sanitation, personal hygiene and in work performance. Performs other assigned duties.
Work Schedule
2 Days a Week
1100 – 1200
Assist am cook on tray line.
1200 – 1230
- Serve employee trays.
- Replenish steam table.
1230 – 1330
- Serve hot foods for tower residents.
- Breakdown steam table and tray line.
- Clean work area.
1330 – 1400
- Pre prep for supper.
- Clean assigned areas.
1400 – 1430
Lunch
1430 – 1645
- Prepare supper main dish, starch, vegetable, and soup.
- Wash pots and pans and can opener.
- Record temperature of hot foods.
- Set-up steam table.
1650 – 1800
- Serve hot foods.
- Breakdown steam table and store food.
1800 – 1810
Break
1810 – 1930
- Clean work area
- Sweep and mop.
- Wash pots and pans.
- Record freezer and refrigerator temperatures.
- Issue pm nourishments.
- Check and lock department.

- Clean work area.

- Prepare main dish, starch, vegetable.
- Turn on steam table.
- Prepare mechanically altered foods.
