Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni, the USCB Alumni Coordinator has the primary focus of planning and implementing annual strategy for obtaining and retaining alumni. In addition, this position will assist the Director of Development in expanding annual giving.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalency. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must have excellent conceptual and written skills; outstanding communication skills including telephone skill and public speaking; must have a working knowledge of the development, use and maintenance of relational databases, spreadsheets, and word processing programs. Knowledge of donor qualification, cultivation, stewardship strategies. Knowledge of alumni development. This employee must be able to maintain confidentiality. All aspects dealing with donors and prospective donors must remain confidential. Must work well with a wide variety of personalities to solicit donors and to develop working relationships with volunteer organizations including partnership board, the hospitality management advisory board, the Founders Society, alumni, and the family fund committee. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.
