NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a Critical Care Services Team (CCS) benefitted position
Highlights:
- Position: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate
- Location: Highland Park & Skokie Hospitals
- Full-time: 40 hours/wk
- Hours: 1000-2200, 14-2200, occasional 0645-1845
- Required Travel: Highland Park/Skokie Hospitals
The APP will be part of our teams located at Skokie Hospital ICU with rotation to the ICU at Highland Park Hospital. Coverage hours vary including day, evening, weekend and holiday. The candidate would rotate between two sites and would be cross trained for all ICUs. APP applicants with IL license pending will be considered.
What you will need:
Physician Associate:
- NCCPA Board certification
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate program; Master's Degree
- Experienced in critical care patient management mandatory OR completion of a one-year critical care residency considered
- Will consider new graduates
APN:
- Acute Care NP OR Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP Board Certification (ACNP or AGACNP Board Certification) preferred
- Would consider ANP or FNP with relevant experience and training
- Education: Graduate of an accredited APN Masters (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) Program
What you will do:
- Working autonomously with Intensivists and multidisciplinary teams, the APP will provide comprehensive exams, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments for the direct management of acute/chronic illness and disease for critically ill medical and surgical patients in our ICUs
- The APP will positively contribute to high quality care while maintaining safety measures with a goal of optimal outcomes a desirable patient experience
- The CCS APPs will work autonomously within interdisciplinary teams
