Job Description
We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager reporting to the Sr. Director of Accounting. The role will include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our monthly financial results in accordance with BlueTriton standards. It will also include providing our business partners with key insights and/or recommendations based on our analytical reviews.
This role is based out of our Stamford, CT HQ with a hybrid work schedule (If you are not in the CT area, we are open to remote work, and travel as needed).
CPA, Big 4 Experience and Corporate Accounting Highly Preferred
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
- Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities including financial controls audit
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
Qualifications
Key qualifications include:
- BA/BS in Accounting; CPA/MBA a plus
- 7+ years of relevant Accounting and/or CPG experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
- Pays strict attention to detail
