Description:

The primary objective of the Accounting Clerk position is to perform a variety of accounting duties including backing up other members of the accounting department. Basic accounting principal knowledge desirable. Duties will include:

A day in the life…

• Gather accounting documentation
• Maintain monthly spreadsheet and prepare journal entries at month end
• General cashiering/cash handling for the property.
• Daily reconciliation of all cash and credit card transactions
• Filing and scanning of documents
• Research accounting problems
• Data entry
• Other duties as assigned

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, and highly motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability interact at all levels of the organization.
• Great communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficient with software including accounting systems and office
• Knowledge in Acumatica and Springer Miller System software a strong plus

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• 2-year accounting experience/certification preferred but not required
• 1-2 years of accounting experience a plus
• Hotel finance experience a plus
