Responsibilities:
Ensures daily account maintenance of practice revenue, and accurate and quality of patient account activities. Monitors issues with patient registration, charging and coding to ensure efficiency in the patient account process. Keeps supervisor informed of issues or problems.

  • Serves as the resource to handle various types of problems, complaints, and inquiries regarding services, operations, schedules, policies and procedures including incident reports.
  • Assists manager/coordinator when needed.
  • Monitors quality and addresses any issues found. Informs supervisor of any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Provides training to new employees on departmental procedures, computer systems to include financial and electronic billing, and other issues as necessary and appropriate.
  • Practices proper safety and infection control techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to Manager or designee.
  • Performs duties of other business office staff
Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years billing and accounts receivable experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting and electronic billing systems
  • Good Verbal and written communication skills
  • Level of proficiency in the use and application of MS Office (Word and Excel) varies by department, see requisition for requirements.
Work Hours:: 8:00am-4:30pm
