What You’ll Do

As a member of the Acacia Sales Finance team, you will work closely with senior leaders across the world in the company’s Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance functions, providing bookings, revenue and expense analysis and guidance to drive the business forward.

Key responsibilities:

  • Development and review of financial models that support the business operations, including booking and revenue.
  • Provide decision support with financial modeling, business analysis and financial management reporting and present recommendations.
  • Creation of bookings and revenue forecasts, tracking of performance against those targets, handling bookings and revenue to be in compliance with GAAP and Cisco bookings policy.
  • Review OpeX and CapEx spending with sales and marketing business partners to resolve required accruals, performance against plans and completion of forecast updates.
  • Participate in weekly “real time” OpeX review.
  • Partner with credit team to help handle bookings against customer credit limits against and outstanding accounts receivables.
  • Participate in long range strategic planning (LRSP).
  • Participate as financial representative on project teams as needed and other ad hoc projects as requested.

Who You'll Work With

You will work closely with Acacia Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Legal departments to provide financial data and analysis for decision support. You will also work with Cisco Sales, BU Finance and acquisition integration teams.

You have some sales and service finance knowledge in a multinational company. You have the ability to work in a demanding high-energy environment. You have strong analytical skills and strong interpersonal skills to influence others.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years of proven experience or Master’s Degree with 2-4 years of proven experience, in Accounting or Finance.
  • Very strong financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with some experience dealing directly with business partners.
  • The ability to manage time and balance multiple priorities while moving with urgency.
  • Experience with large ERP systems. Ability to extract, organize, analyze, and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant in support of business decisions.
  • Experience with complex financial modeling, forecasting, planning, and data-driven analysis using current tools, applications and methods.
  • Strong quantitative skills to analyze historic results and apply findings to forecasts and variance analyses.
  • Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, solid understanding of ERP based environments.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
