Our specialization is in providing comprehensive, individualized, behavioral therapy to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This process is completed through the fundamental science of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and its various evidence based methodologies.

With the prevalence of Autism increasing (one in 68 children, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014), the need for quality behavioral therapy is at an all-time high. Our mission is simple, to provide these therapy services with the highest level of quality to our clients and their families. To accomplish this, it starts with hiring the right people!

Presently, we are looking for both part and full-time employees as well as independent contractors. We have open positions for behavior therapists, senior behavior therapists & program managers. Below is a short description for the behavior therapist position and the necessary qualifications.

CURRENT OPENINGS:

Adapt is currently offering hybrid positions - in person and Telehealth

All positions will be filled within the surrounding San Francisco and East Bay areas. Spanish, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin speakers are a bonus.

Positions: Behavior Therapist I and II

Part-time or independent contractor positions available. Full time considered if available. We need assistance mainly in the afternoon and evening times but we do have availability for morning times.

Responsibilities: Behavior Therapist

- Provide direct 1:1 Therapy service in a child's home, school, or other natural environment

- Teach various adaptive skills

- Effectively respond to and minimize behaviors of concern

- Use various teaching methods (DTT, NET, PRT) and maintain consistent empirical data to track child's progress.

- Communicate consistently with Program Manager/Clinical Director on case status and needs

- Complete required paperwork including, but not limited to, daily clinic notes and data.

- Organize and create teaching materials

Behavior Therapist II (Senior)

- Same as entry level Behavior Therapist duties

- Shadow, substitute, and train entry-level therapists as needed

Qualifications: Behavior Therapist I

- B.A. or B.S. degree in a related field is required. We also will consider individuals who are currently pursuing their B.A. or B.S. or who have years of ABA experience alone.

- Some training on the fundamentals of ABA

- Experience working with children with special needs, such as Autism

Behavior Therapist II (Senior)

- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field.

- Familiarity with ABA tools/methods (i.e. DTT, NET, PECS, PRT, etc.) and principles of behavior modification

- Minimum 1year experience working with children with special needs, such as Autism-Experience implementing behavior and educational procedures

- Excellent verbal, written, and problem solving skills

- Computer savvy

Pay Rate and Benefits

Behavior Therapist I

- $20 to 23 dollars per hour

Behavior Therapist II (Senior)

- $24 to 28 dollars per hour

Benefits and pay dependent on type of employment.

Requirements for all applicants:

- Valid driver's license and auto insurance

- Ability to provide negative TB test results

- Ability to clear FBI & DOJ fingerprinting

- Access to computer with internet connection on a daily basis

- Mobile phone with ongoing service plan - partial compensation will be given.
