2nd Shift Mechanic
Unitex is currently seeking 2nd shift maintenance mechanic for our location in South Windsor, CT.
Compensation: Starting at $23+/hour

Unitex is currently seeking 2nd shift maintenance mechanic for our location in South Windsor, CT.
Compensation: Starting at $23+/hour
Benefits:
- Full-time position - Position works Friday through Sunday with 2 other weekdays (you determine which days)
- Second shift work schedule – 1:30pm to 10:00pm
- Overtime is available as required
- Union position with benefits
- Work uniforms are provided to you at no cost
- Paid time off for vacation, personal, sick and holidays
- Competitive hourly rate
Responsibilities:
- Daily preventative maintenance
- Repair of equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment
- Unjam equipment during production hours
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Positive attitude, positive relationship with production department
Mechanic Requirements basic and/or all around knowledge of:
- Processing and/or packaging plant maintenance
- Pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, power transmission, steam systems and pumps
- 3+ years of processing/industrial maintenance experience valued
- Black Seal Boiler License recommended, but not required
- Company assists in obtaining black seal boiler license
