Position Summary

The Recreation Attendant is a position that revolves around engaging and educating guests of the Westin and Sonesta Resorts about the offerings of Outside Brands. This includes but is not limited to: equipment rental, retail, and the sales of on and off-site excursions. Recreation Attendants will be cross-trained in all aspects of sales of Outside Brands (reservations, retail, and rentals) and will also to be expected to seamlessly cross between operations at the Westin and Sonesta Resorts along with fleet rental deliveries and pickups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Actively engage guests with the goal of increasing program sales at Westin and Sonesta locations.
• Facilitate the rental of fleet gear, including bikes, kayaks, paddleboards, and surfboards
• Operate Westin kiosk to increase retail sales.
• Clean, maintain, and repair any rental gear stored at each location.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of all rentals and sales.
• Ensure that all areas used by Outside are clean and organized.
• Have a working knowledge of both the Westin and Sonesta Resorts, including resort operations and Outside Brands operations.
• Provide excellent customer service that parallels or surpasses the standard of the Westin and Sonesta Resorts.
• Attend monthly meetings at the discretion of the Resort Operations Manager.
• Support an environment of learning and trust by acting as a positive role model.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

• Must have reliable transportation
• Cash-handling skills required
• Must be 16 or older to apply
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English
• Physical dexterity required when handling bicycles
• Ability to work outside is a must
