Formulation Intern, Non-viral Gene Therapy, Genomic Medicine Unit

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Student Co-Op (6 months, full time) to join the Non-viral Gene Therapy group within the Genomic Medicine Unit of Sanofi.

The individual in this position should have hands-on experience in lab experiments and characterization experience using lab instruments, such as pH meter, plate reader, and particle size measurement. This position will work in a team setting to develop novel non-viral gene delivery vehicles for various therapeutic areas, including formulation of lipid nanoparticles, nanoparticles characterization, and other lab support work.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently execute, and record experiments as guided in a time sensitive manner.

• Collaborate with therapeutic area team to support in vitro and in vivo experiments.

• Assume responsibility for critical reagent sourcing and maintain adequate supply and inventory.

• Author standard operating procedures, study plans and reports and present findings.

Basic Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be a Master's student or a Bachelor's student of junior or higher level in the field of chemical/biomedical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field.

• Experience with analytical characterization such as pH meter, particle size, UV-vis spectroscopy etc.

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in solving scientific problems, ability to troubleshoot, and willingness to learn.
