Job description
- High School diploma; associate or business degree preferred
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s license
- Must possess a current Certified Educational Facilities Manager certificate (CEFM)
- NJDEP UST Class A Operator certification or must obtain within a provided timeline
- School Integrated Pest Management certification or must obtain within a provided timeline
- Availability to be on call and respond when needed
- Knowledge of computer software applications
- Experience in school plant maintenance and custodial operations, or an equivalent mix of maintenance and custodial experience of large facilities, including maintaining an operational budget and direct supervision of custodial, maintenance, and grounds personnel
- General knowledge of and understanding of landscaping, construction, maintenance, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and carpentry
- General knowledge of building codes, state and federal OSHA and environmental codes
- Ability to develop long and short range facility plans for district-wide plant operation and maintenance within budgetary restrictions
